MHFA – Conversations about suicide

At the completion of the course you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to safely have a conversation with a suicidal person. You will also have the opportunity to practise your new skills in a safe environment. This is not a postvention course and is not recommended for individuals recently bereaved by suicide.

The MHFA Conversations about Suicide course is not a therapy or a support group and it is important that people undertaking the course are feeling relatively robust when they undertake it. Specific postvention support services can be found at the beyondblue website.

This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
